Biotest is one of the most innovative organisations currently operating within the plasma protein and diagnostic markets. We currently manufacture and sell products in three distinct segments: plasma derived therapeutics, blood transfusion diagnostics and microbial environmental monitoring.

We have been successfully operating in the UK for over 35 years, and have built up a reputation for quality products and exceptional customer service. Based in Solihull, West Midlands, we are a wholly owned subsidiary of Biotest AG, our German parent company located in Frankfurt. The parent organisation was established in 1946 by Dr Carl A Schleussner and his son Dr Hans Schleussner. Influenced by the findings of Karl Landsteiner (1868-1943), they initially concentrated their research efforts on blood group serology.

Over the intervening years the Company has diversified into the key product groups described above.  Biotest UK provides the full diagnostic range across the UK and Ireland, and our therapeutic products in the UK.
