Prof. Dr. Gregor Schulz, Chairman of the Board

Professor Schulz is a medical doctor with special background in pediatrics. Since 1992 he is an Associate Professor with the University of Giessen, Germany. Until 1984, Professor Schulz held various positions in different hospitals in both Germany and the USA in the fields of clinical immunology, hematology as well as pediatrics. From 1985 until the end of 1994 he worked in different functions with Behringwerke AG, Marburg, Germany – initially as Head of Clinical Research and from 1989 on as Member of the Executive Board responsible for Research & Development, Quality Assurance and other divisions. Prior to being Chairman of the Executive Board of Biotest AG (2003), Professor Schulz was General Manager of CellGenix GmbH, Freiburg, Germany, from 1995 until 2002.

Dr. Michael Ramroth,  Board member, Finance and Central Services

Dr. Ramroth is a lawyer and obtained his doctorate in political economy. From 1990 to 1997 he was head of the Business Development Department at Metallgesellschaft AG. From 1997 until 1999 he was member of the board of directors of CeramTec AG, prior to returning to MG Technologies AG in 1999 until 2003 first as Chief Financial Officer and later as member of the board of directors. Dr. Ramroth has been a member of the Board of Biotest AG since 2004.

Dr. Georg Floß, Head of Plasma Protein Operations Division

Dr. Floß gained his doctorate in virology. Up until 1992, he worked in Production and Research & Development within the Veterinary Division of Bayer AG. From 1992 to 1999, he worked for Hoechst Roussel Veterinär GmbH as a Production Manager, after which he became head of the Production Technical Management Department. From 1999 to 2005, he headed the Production Department of CSL Behring GmbH in Marburg, before taking on overall responsibility for production at the Marburg site in 2005. Since 2008, Dr. Floß has worked for Biotest AG as Head of the Plasma Protein Operations Division.

Dr. Joachim Herborg, Director of Marketing & Distribution

Dr. Herborg is a graduate and doctor of biology and worked at Behringwerke AG as Product Manager Immunology/Vaccines until 1996. From 1996 to 1999 he was Head of the Marketing and Controlling Departments at Centeon Pharma GmbH, before becoming Director of the Sales Division of Aventis Behring GmbH from 2000 to 2004. Dr. Herborg has been Director of Marketing & Distribution at Biotest AG since 2004.

Dr. Rainer Pabst, General Manager of Biotest Pharmaceuticals Corp., USA

Dr. Pabst is a chemist and obtained his doctorate in the field of biochemistry. Until 1995 Dr. Pabst was Head of Plasma Proteins Production at Behringwerke AG, before he became Vice President Industrial Operations at Centeon Pharma GmbH from 1995 to 1997. From 1998 to 2000 Dr. Pabst was Vice President in the Corporate Technology Division of Bayer Corp. Biological Products. Dr. Pabst has been Director of Biotest Pharma GmbH since 2000, and since January 2008, he has been General Manager of Biotest Pharmaceuticals Corp. USA.

Dr. Frank Osterroth, Head of Biotherapeutics Division

Dr. Osterroth has an academic background in biochemistry. After taking up a research position in the UK between 1994 and 1995, he obtained his doctorate in tumour immunology at Freiburg University Hospital. From 1998 to 2003, he worked at CellGenix GmbH in various roles in Research and Development, Business Development and most recently as head of the Molecular Therapeutics Division. Since 2003, Dr. Osterroth has been responsible for developing the biotherapeutics business and for developing monoclonal antibodies at Biotest AG. He has been Head of the Biotherapeutics Division since 2008

Dr. Frank Schulze, Head of Microbiology Division and Managing Director of Heipha Dr. Müller GmbH

Dr. Schulze obtained his doctorate in the field of molecular biology and genetic engineering at the Max-Planck Institute in Göttingen. From 1988 to 1990, he worked at Behringwerke AG as the product manager for virological and microbiological test systems before becoming a Senior Consultant for McKinsey & Company Inc. In 1992, he transferred to the Corporate Center of Hoechst AG. In 1995, he took over as head of Pharma for Central and Eastern Europe at Hoechst Marion Roussel (HMR) and in this role represented HMR on a number of Supervisory Boards of subsidiary companies. From 2000 to 2006, he worked as a Principal in the Life Science sector for the corporate consultancy PRTM. Since 2007, he has worked at Biotest AG as Head of the Microbiology Division. He is also simultaneously the Managing Director of Heipha Dr. Müller GmbH, a subsidiary of Biotest AG.

Dr. Michael Soldan, Head of Medical/ Regulatory Affairs

Dr. Michael Soldan graduated from Phillipps-University in Marburg in Human Biology and Pharmacy. From 1998 to 2001, he was employed as Regulatory Affairs Manager at Aventis Behring GmbH, previously Centeon GmbH, and was subsequently appointed as Head of Regulatory Affairs for Hemophilia Europe. In 2003, he joined Chiron Behring GmbH as Head of Regulatory Affairs, where he managed the world-wide Regulatory Affairs activities for all company’s products. From 2005 to 2006 he served as Head of Corporate Regulatory Affairs at the Grünenthal GmbH. Dr. Michael Soldan joined Biotest AG in July 2006, initially as Head of Regulatory Affairs and, since January 2008, as Head of Medical/Regulatory Affairs.
