Biotest Mikrobiology launches MMB Food Pathogen System for rapid food analysis

The  MMB Food Pathogen System is a new and comprehensive product line of molecular microbiology kits for  rapid food testing. The products are a perfect addition to the existing Biotest Microbiology product portfolio of devices and media for the detection of microorganisms in the food industry.

The kits for the isolation of nucleic acids from food samples and subsequent real-time PCR-based detection allow the fail-safe analysis of food samples within a few hours after pre-enrichment. This ensures a short time-to-result for a fast product release.

The test systems are available for the specific detection of all common food-borne pathogens including Salmonella, Campylobacter, Listeria monocytogenes, and shiga-toxin producing E. coli (STEC).
