Plasma proteins – Concentrating forces and resources
 
One of the best prove of a well functioning partnership is obviously its duration. For more than three decades Biotest has been cooperating with C.A.F.-D.C.F. when it comes to processing plasma proteins. The production facilities of the Dutch-Belgian company (Sanguin, C.A.F.-D.C.F.) are part of the approval dossiers of our products, so that we have no problems to integrate them into our production. On the basis of a long-term contract, we are able to fractionate a yearly amount of up to 300,000 litres of blood plasma in the C.A.F.-D.C.F. plant, which is thus an important element within our European-American production consortium. Biotest maintains several other production and sales partnerships, for instance with Human (Kedrion) in Hungary, or with selected plasma suppliers. 
 
As far as the development and testing of active substances is concerned, we have been working for years with renowned hospitals and research institutions. There is, for instance, an intensive cooperation with the speciality clinic for hemophilia patients at the University Hospital of Bonn/Germany.
 
Biotherapeutics – Speeding-up projects with high potential
 
Typical for our approach in this segment is cooperation with renowned partners. With respect to clinical trials, we co-operate with institutes, hospitals and medical specialists of paramount importance. In the development of the products, there is, for instance, close cooperation with the biotechnology company Immunogen, the Tab technology of which is one of the most modern procedures for fighting tumours.
 
As far as the worldwide development und marketing of our monoclonal antibodies is concerned, we are looking for well-known international pharmaceutical companies. For this purpose we are looking for a partner providing support and additional ressources, in particular for clinical phase III, in order to accelerate the market introduction of this innovative product.
